Have you ever stopped and considered that you are a masterpiece?
Maybe you know this and accept it.
Maybe you know this but have trouble believing it.
Maybe this is the first time you’ve thought about it.
Sure we live in a world full of “beautiful people”, but I’m not talking about Hollywood-created beauty. I’m talking about something much more…heavenly.
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
You aren’t just any masterpiece. You are God’s masterpiece! Let that sink in for a minute.
The God of the universe.
The God who spoke everything into existence.
The God who parted a sea, delivered a nation, raised the dead, saved our souls, that same God, the one and only God, looked at you and me and said “you are my masterpiece!”
And God didn’t just make us to be amazing with nothing to do. He created us to do amazing things for Him. The things God has planned for us point us and others to Christ. God has always had a plan for you. So much so, he planned it a long, long time ago before you were even created.
What does God have planned for you? I don’t know. But I do know this. Despite our flaws and sins, if God can look at us and call us his “masterpiece”, then why not believe him and claim the journey that he has planned?
