How Faith Works

If you’re having a bad day, week, month, or just in general feeling lost and confused, why not give faith a chance?

It’s hard to get through life without having faith in something.

Faith can come in all shapes and sizes.

Even for a non-believer, a non-Christ-follower, there’s usually some amount of faith applied to daily living, whether it’s attributed to a belief in God or not.

We have faith our alarm will wake us up. Our car (or in my case truck) will start. We have faith we’ll have food and clothing and shelter. If we travel, we have faith the plane will fly. When we buy bottled water, we have faith it’s actually from a spring somewhere we’ve never seen and not some sweaty guy in a back room just filling it up from a tap. Great image, huh?!

Here is my question. If we can have faith in so many things, so many mundane things, with an almost autopilot type of mindset, then why is having faith in God and His promises so hard?

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)

Imagine this – having the mindset that I will have faith in God no matter what simply because.

Because He has never broken a promise.

Because He has never failed to deliver.

Because He asks me to.

My challenge – when in doubt, why not FAITH it!?!
